Industrial Automatic Control Systems and Controllers Annotation << Back Using Domain-specifi c Language Caph to Process Video Signal for Electric Beam Welding Control System M.M. Sizov, V.E. Zyubin, T.V. Lyakh, A.M. Medvedev, Yu.I. Semenov Institute of Nuclear Physics SB RAS has an electric beam welding machine. In the article hardware for automatic correction of seam position is described and algorithm for extraction of seam position from video stream is proposed. The algorithm was implemented using both datafl ow language Caph and C++ language and details of Caph version are discussed. The algorithm reduces estimation errors for seam position to acceptable 0.1 mm. The authors describe an integration method of Caph-written subsystem into existing hybrid control system written in C++. The results of comparison of C++ and Caph implementations have shown that Caph language is more effective and is as concise as C++.
