Evaluate the Performance of the Data Link Layer IEEE 802.11 Standard, Given the State of the Loaded Network Elements and the Effects of Interference in the Distributed Automated Control Systems |

The article discusses the use of IEEE 802.11 wireless data networks as part of the enterprise distributed automated control systems. The authors propose a mathematical model of the wireless IEEE 802.11 standard that allows evaluation of the performance of the channel level, taking into account the state of congestion of the network elements and the possible impact of interference. This model is based on a Markov chain device and allows you to get the bandwidth depending on the number of stations in the network, the size of the window competition, the likelihood of interference in the channel, the number of packet transmission attempts and the size of the transmitted packet. The use of the proposed model will improve the accuracy of calculations of parameters of designed networks and assessing the performance of existing ones.
