Self-diagnosable Redundant Mission Critical Controller |

The use of foreign programmable logic controllers (PLC) in process automation systems was conditioned by impossibility of creating those domestic providing similar spec characteristics. In Russia recently there were no domestic high-performance processors and high-speed bulk memory chips. At present there is a real possibility to create programmable logic controllers based on domestic component basis exceeding those imported in reliability, failure resistance and having negligible cost difference. The said advantages may be reached using the proposed scientifi c-technical solutions and the available domestic component basis. Nevertheless at present there is no real interest in domestic PLC. The main reasons of this are: reluctance to abandon the arranged relations with foreign suppliers; existing distrust for domestic designs; lack of reliable and fail resistant PLC based on domestic component basis. The given article presents scientific-technical solutions making possible creation of domestic PLC providing high reliability, fail resistance, minimal dimensions, power consumption and cost.
