The Decision of Using Recognition of Moving Objects in the Problem of Street Lighting Control Systems |

The article explores the possibility of applying methods for recognizing moving objects for the construction of street lighting control systems. Briefl y reviewed the existing procedures used to select the optimum street lighting modes. The conclusion about the need to improve intelligence of the systems for choosing the parameters of illumination. The description of the methods and algorithms of recognition of moving objects is described. Obtained criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of pattern recognition algorithms. Considered the problems of using algorithms for recognizing moving objects in video surveillance systems. Proposed an approach to street lighting control based on the data analysis, which allows us to approach to the choice of lighting modes based on the presence or absence of various objects (people, cars, animals). The results of the testing of recognition algorithms, conclusions about the applicability of the recognition of moving objects in the street lighting control systems are given.
