Ensuring Integrity in Data Storage Systems by Reducing the Computational Complexity of Decoding of Noise-immune Codes |
V.V. Shein
The direction of ensuring integrity in data storage systems based on noise-immune coding is considered. The factors preventing the widespread introduction of noise-immune coding algorithms to data storage systems and ways of overcoming them are determined reducing the computational complexity of decoding algorithms that implement the minimum average risk criterion for the Markov error source and the class of block noise-proof codes based on. The type of the loss matrix used in the decoding algorithm as a loss function is justifi ed. The analysis of the properties of the loss matrix is carried out, the use of which makes it possible to reduce the computational complexity of the decoding algorithm approximately in 2k times, where k is the information part length of the block noise-proof code. The scheme and the description of the algorithm realizing the procedure for rapid calculation of average risks based on the properties of the loss matrix are presented.
Keywords: loss matrix; minimum average risk criterion; noise-immune coding.
