Industrial Automatic Control Systems and Controllers Annotation << Back Data Historian Performance for Different Industrial Process Data A.V. Zamyatin, V.N. Trenkaev, V.D. Janowsky, A.S. Aldokhin The article presents the results of research of on the infl uence of different industrial process data on the performance of the data historian. Based on the OPC UA protocol specifi cation, a workload model is designed. The workload model identifies two types of technological information: instrumentation readings and equipment status reports (alarm). Using the workload model, a data historian prototype based on a relational DBMS or a key-value store has been tested. The results show that: both processed data and data operations affect on data historian performance signifi cantly; key-value store can be used for development of database management systems for industrial automation systems.
