Teplova Use of tools and methods for rotating electrical machines automated testing are considered in relation to providing effectiveness of their characteristics control. The experience of introduction and operating an automated test bench in the laboratory of an engineering center is described. Problems of determining how technical solutions alternations affect generalpurpose induction motors characteristics are considered. The application of testing automation tools and methods is proposed to increase efficiency of research on electrical machines energy efficiency potential.
