Computer System of Ultrasonic Thermotomography for Detecting Small-sized Defects in Products from Polymer Composite Materials |

This paper presents the results of the development of technology and hardware for ultrasound thermotomography, with which it is possible to detect small defects (including « stuck together» («closed»)) in products made of polymer composite materials, as well as identifying their depth. Experimental studies of the created computer system have shown that it confidently identifies internal defects with identification of their occurrence depth with an error of up to 4 %, has a wide range of applications, relatively simple realizability in practice, and technology of use.
