Sinus» Multi-channel Seismic Station Using a Dual-processor Control and Processing System |

The article discusses the structure and interaction of the main controller modules of the 24-channel Sinus seismic station, developed and manufactured in the seismometry laboratory of the Institute of Geophysics, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Atmel Corp. general-purpose 8-bit AVR microcontrollers are used in the control module and the analogto-digital conversion module of the station. This ensured the device was compact and economical, while retaining the solution of complex control and calculation problems in almost real time. The modules described in the article can serve as the basis for further improvement of devices of this type.
