Drozd In this article, general problems of “Engineering-to-Order” and “Make-to-Order” of complex technical product are considered on the basis of actual research papers on the management of design and production processes in the “Engineering-to-Order” structural organization conditions. Also, the article considers existing methods for designing and modeling a complex technical product family unified platform and provides an assessment of computer-aided design, product data management and product lifecycle management systems applicability in the conditions of the “Engineering-to-Order”. Based on the results of the analysis, the information support problems of the “Engineering-to-Order” organizational structure are formulated. In conclusion, there are proposed the main directions for the development of knowledge-based product data management systems designed to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the “Engineering-to-Order”.
