Senina The article discusses an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) developed in the laboratory of seismometry of the Institute of Geophysics, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which has properties and technical characteristics that allow it to be used in compact autonomous seismic recording equipment, for example, in a multichannel seismic station designed to study the structure and physical and mechanical properties of the upper part soil layer. The technical solutions that made it possible to develop such an ADC are mainly based on the capabilities of the Atmel Corp. 8-bit general-purpose microcontroller used in the device. The controller has sufficient speed, flexible architecture, micropower consumption, which is essential when using the device in offline mode.
