TARASENKO The application of automation instruments, devices, and systems offered by Buildings Automation and Safety Department of Siemens is discussed. These tools and facilities enable the combination of cost-effectiveness, user-friendliness and low environmental impact. The paper shows that up to 30% of energy can be saved in intelligent buildings furnished with automation systems. Siemens accomplishes this not only due to high regulatory control performance but also owing to optimal temperature control, individual maintaining of indoor air parameters, optimization of HVAC systems operation, organization of night and festal operation modes, peak loads alleviation, frequency control of drives, web monitoring of energy consumption.
