Development of a Behavioral Model of an Integrated
Circuit for a Linear Voltage Regulator 5348EP015
and its Functional Analogue ADP7185 With
an Adjustable Output Voltage Value |

The object of development is a behavioral model of an integrated circuit of a linear voltage regulator of negative polarity,
reproducing the required external behavior of an integrated circuit. The behavioral model is implemented in the SPICE
language. As a prototype of the behavioral model, a linear voltage regulator 5348ER015, manufactured by AO «GRUPPA
KREMNIY EL», and its functional analogue ADP7185, manufactured by «Analog Devices», are considered. Regulators
belong to the group of regulators with low voltage dropout (LDO) and adjustable output voltage value. A functional diagram
of a linear regulator is considered, on the basis of which an equivalent circuit and a behavioral SPICE model are developed.
The equivalent circuit is built on the basis of standard mathematical blocks, limiters, dependent sources, controlled switches
and passive elements. Based on a typical switching scheme of the considered microcircuits, the results of verifi cation of the
behavioral model are presented. The results of modeling the main characteristics are given: input and output voltages, voltage
drop across the stabilizer, timing diagrams of the integrated circuit operation, taking into account the signal at the enable
input.
