P.I.D.-Synthesis – control engineer’s toolkit for multivariable plants |

The performance data and functionalities of P.I.D.-Synthesis software suite developed by TECHNOCONT are presented. The software is aimed at control systems synthesis and tuning for multivariable plants. The paper analyses the causes of poor PID loops performance at industrial plants and discusses key requirements to software toolkits for controller synthesis and tuning at multivariable plants. P.I.D.-Synthesis addresses the needs of control engineers and technicians commissioning and operating regulatory controls. The synthesis functions can be useful for system integrators and control system designers. The basic information is the parameters of multivariable plant’s channel models. The system determines these parameters based on transients data in closed loop under arbitrary settings.
