The paper analyzes the development of an informating-controlling system for Karashur underground storage – one of the newest and state of the art underground gas storage facilities of Gasprom commissioned in September 2005. The automation project was implemented by AtlanticTransgasSystem consortium (general contractor), Siemens and other subcontractors.
