IVANOVA Monitoring of perimeter coverage is one of the main functions of sensor networks. Perimeter is a physical limit of the observed field, the intersection of which is monitored. This article discusses the problem of determining the perimeter of the coverage area wireless sensor network. The distributed algorithm for finding the sensor network nodes located on the perimeter of the coverage area of the observed area is presented. We consider a random network of sensors, having nodes with different radii of coverage. The proposed algorithm uses information about the location of its neighbors to determine whether the node is surrounded by neighbors, and thus to know whether it is located within the wireless sensor network.
