ШАХОВСКОЙ (МГТА) The paper presents an approach to active identification of process plants based on approximation of their transient responses using the m-th order finite-difference equation. The equation coefficients are calculated based on parametric identification by processing the values of averaged transient responses with the help of the least-squares techniques. The approach allows improving the quality of process control.
