This paper proposes a way to automate the process of making asphalt concrete mixture on the basis of information content of acoustic noise generated in the process of mixing on the homogeneity of the mixture. We propose a method for estimating the mean amplitudes of the spectral density function of the stochastic nonstationary process of generation of acoustic noise, the unknown law of its distribution. A scheme of the local automatic control system mixing unit that implements this method in the management of the duration of mixing, which allows the implementation to maintain a given level of homogeneity in terms of physical characteristics of fragile materials.
