Stability Analysis of the Control Lloops
of Pulse Power Supply Units |

At the moment switching power supplies operating at high frequency power conversion (10 kHz or more) and having the best performance of weight, size and efficiency are commonly used. Feature of these devices is that their elements operate in the so-called switching mode that can significantly reduce the size of inductive, capacitive and cooling components. The benefits of switching power supplies resulted in complication of schemes design. A method of stability analysis of switching power supply control circuit with time-varying delays is discussed in this article. The control circuit of TL494 can be described by such system. Analysis of stability is reduced to the graphics check with using the frequency characteristics.
