Skvortsova T.I. This article addresses the problem of automated local computer network control. Identified common tasks performed by administrators of local computer networks. Analyzed the features and disadvantages of the most popular software for managing computer networks. It is shown that at present such software does not fully automate common tasks of network administrators. Compiled the list of features that must have software to manage local computer network. Developed a model and structure of the client-server software for automated control of the local computer network with a feedback function and built-in web server. Presented functions which allow administrators to manage and monitor the performance of a local network from mobile phones, PDAs and tablet computers. Introduced the ability to exchange the performance data between application for automated LAN control and other applications using standard data exchange protocols. Presented an illustration and description of the interaction between the client and server modules of the software. Developed the structure of the database used by the application, described the fields in the tables, as well as a list and format of the stored data. Presented the work of feedback functions of the application. The functioning of the built-in Web server: it is shown that it can serve the information requests made by the administrator (with the Web browser), and other requests made by applications. Described the parameters of the software, the ability to change which shall be made available in appropriate settings in the application interface.
