Industrial Automatic Control Systems and Controllers Annotation << Back An Integration Functionality of Matlab in Proficy iFIX Environment Drozd O.V. Kapulin D.V. The process of design of software system, assigned to simulate the boiler unit TGM-96B by Matlab/Simulink tools and SCADA-system iFIX is considered. The basic components and principles of the program system are describe, the structure of simulation model of boiler unit is presented, the results of boiler unit modeling are presented. The process of data exchange from Matlab/Simulink models to the SCADA-system iFIX, using OPC-protocol is considered in detail. The proposed approach to the data exchange of software tools can be used for creating training simulations of complex objects, designing of the operator workstations interface, debugging and communicating between the individual components of the control system. In addition, as the simulation model of the object corresponds to a real boiler, the developed software system may be applied to the study of management and organization of the boiler monitoring process for power stations.
