The Electrolyzer Series Power-supply System Model
for Fluorine Production Process Control System Operator Computer Trainer-simulator |

This article draws attention to the results of the electrolyzer series power-supply system mathematical model for its application in a computer trainer-simulator for fluorine production process control system operator. Mathematical description of the model, its computation scheme and the computing experiment results on the system function are given. The model allows calculating conventional true values of current and cathode-earth voltage for each electrolyzer series depending on the current load change, electrical resistance of electrolyzers and their insulation under static conditions, taking into account possible bridging of individual units as well. Mathematical description is based on the calculation methods of dc current circuits and includes special variables – malfunction criteria, which make it possible to control the initiation process of non-routine events connected with electrical insulation damage of the electrolyzers. The system function check was carried out by comparing the industrial experimental data with the model computing experiment results. The check proved that the simulation results satisfy the requirements described in the article. Possible application of the developed mathematical model in a computer trainer-simulator for fluorine production process control is emphasized in the conclusion.
