Industrial Automatic Control Systems and Controllers Annotation << Back Goals and Objectives of Developing Information-measuring and control Systems for Electric Drives at the Automated Manufacturing Plants Vasilyev A.M. The paper discusses the automation of technical processes in the computerized manufacturing. It focuses on electric drives as an energy framework of information-measuring and control systems enabling power transformation into mechanical energy in compliance with process unit operation algorithm. It is shown that the efficiency of energy conservation technologies is determined substantially by electric drive’s efficiency. The development of high-performance, small-size and efficient drive systems is a priority area of present-day engineering, and the applied software design for electric drives should be integrated with priority implementation of control tasks and the respective subordination of the information ones that is related with the integration of the computing aids of control and information elements. Key tasks of information-measuring and control system design for electric drives are listed.
