The Determination of the Timeliness of Responses to Computer Information Security Threats |

The article gives a mathematical representation of the indicator response timeliness of information on computer security threats in a simple model of the offender. Requirements to a form of representation of an estimated indicator of computer information security are
formulated. Characteristics of this indicator are considered, the mathematical form of its representation as a normalized time threat
indicator is given. Probabilistic interpretation of normalizing conditions is justifi ed. A number of restrictions on interpreting of the model of computer information security violator as an elementary model are formulated and further used for forming analytical expressions for an indicator of timeliness of response to safety threats. The exponential law of random distribution of such threats’ lifetime and the normal law of random distribution of information security realization functions. Mathematical expression for an indicator of timeliness of response to
threats to computer information security in the conditions of the simple violator model is given. This expression can be used as a tool for a quantitative assessment of the used mechanisms of protecting computer information effi ciency.
