The paper proposes a technique for probabilistic mathematical modeling of the process of evaluating the safety of information processing in an automated
control system, represented in the form of an undirected graph structure and characterized by a complex topology that is not reducible to a sequentially parallel structure, the presence of a large number of components, and the probabilistic nature of the reliability of composite elements. A set of methods and
algorithms that are an extended logical-probabilistic approach to mathematical modeling with the possibility of using the principles of multi-valued logic in calculations are shown. The proposed methodology is based on the process of forming the probability vectors of states in complex systems based on the probability vectors of the states of its elements. The method proposed in the work is applicable for the study of such parameters and characteristic indicators of an automated control system with a complex network structure, such as reliability, the degree of safety of functioning and security. These systems, represented as an undirected graph, can be characterized by a large number of elements and determined by a complex topology that is not reducible to a series-parallel structure. The article shows the possibility of adapting the elimination algorithm for calculating complex information systems with identical and different probability shares of independent events and reliability indicators of systems. The structure of the proposed adapted elimination algorithm makes it possible to adjust the methodology of probabilistic mathematical modeling to solve problems of analysis and assessment of the state of a complex information system such as an automated control system with a constant structure and an unchanged set of shortest paths.
