Application of Artifi cial ImmuneSystems to Ensure the Safety ofAutomated Control Systems |

The article substantiates the possibility of using artifi cial immune systems for building subsystems to ensure the safety
of automated control systems. It is shown that the distributed nature of infocommunication systems and networks, the large
number of users in them leads to a signifi cant increase in the vulnerabilities of these structures. This, accordingly, reduces
the level of information security, increases the risks of unauthorized access to the system, damage or destruction of data,
negatively affects the confi dentiality of information. The concept of application of the principles of functioning of the human
immune system as an effective means of counteracting various types of threats is considered in the basis of information
protection mechanisms of a distributed system. This approach is another step towards the creation of software and hardware
that mimic the functioning of biological systems.
