Investigation of the Effectiveness of Response to Threats of Virus Attacks: the Methodological Foundations and Practice of Computational Experiments |

The stages of the computational experiment on the investigation of the effectiveness of the response to threats of virus attacks are considered. Appropriate methodological bases are given. Analytical expressions are justified for assessing the time characteristics of illegal actions with regard to computer system information using malicious programs and the temporal characteristics of anti-virus protection mechanisms. The behavior of the efficiency function of responding to threats of virus attacks as a mathematical function is investigated. A variant of the procedure for the scientifi c justifi cation of the directions for improving the measures for ensuring anti-virus protection in computer systems is given.
