Bryl In a constantly changing market and tough competition, one of the most important components of a company’s success is information technology used to organize internal processes. Depending on the characteristics of information technology, it can become both an engine of progress and a kind of brake for a company. The most widely used relational databases have ceased to meet the current pace of development and business requirements. They successfully solve concrete, fixed problems, but any changes in current conditions lead to an increase in the number of tables and links between them. In addition, the stored data is impersonal, so any requests in the system must be programmed. When an information system is adapted to significantly changed conditions, its complexity increases exponentially, which significantly increases the cost of technical support, and sometimes it becomes easier to develop a new database than to rebuild the old one. The proposed technology SMART is fundamentally based on innovative ways of storing, processing and presenting information based not on data, but on knowledge, which allows solving information-complex tasks and developing intelligent systems. The main advantages of the technology SMART are the construction of a semantic domain model with a semantic definition of information, a knowledge description language with high expressive capabilities, task description independence from applied algorithms, and a universal and adaptive interface that allows you to create queries in terms of the subject domain without the help of programmers.
