Using the Controller to Protect the Lithium-ion Battery Charger |

The article is devoted to the scientific and technical problem of deep discharge and overcharge of the battery. The object of research is a microprocessor-controlled lithium-ion cell charger. The proposed method for solving the problem using the controller. A controller was selected that ensures the compatibility of the charger with universal batteries by introducing modern circuitry solutions and using an improved element-component base. An electrical schematic diagram of the charger with a description of the principle of operation has been developed. The influence of the controller based on the LP2951 microcircuit on the operation of the charger is investigated. As a result, optimal output electrical characteristics are obtained, providing protection against deep discharge and overcharging of the battery.
