Method for Designing a Parameterized Standard Design for Tooling Development |

The subject of research in the article is to consider a method for developing an information and mathematical model of technological equipment in order to automate the technological preparation of production. In contrast to the standard manual method of constructing a 3D model of a product, parametric modeling creates an information and mathematical model, changing the parameters that allows you to change the confi guration of a part, the mutual movement of parts in a 3D assembly and a visual representation of the designed object. This approach solves the preparation of design documentation for typical technological equipment in a short period of time and with a possible error in design documentation due to the human factor on the part of the design engineer due to the regular drawing of a typical design. As an example of the method of parameterized standard equipment, the principle of constructing a 3D model of cams for a 3-jaw chuck is considered and the effectiveness of this method is assessed.
