Medzhidov The expansion of the areas of application of information technologies, being a factor in the development of the economy and improving the functioning of public and state institutions, at the same time gives rise to new information threats. The possibilities of cross-border circulation of information are increasingly being used to achieve geopolitical, military-political, as well as terrorist, extremist, criminal and other illegal goals, contrary to international law, to the detriment of international security and strategic stability. At the same time, the practice of introducing information technologies without linking them to ensuring information security significantly increases the likelihood of information threats. In this regard, this study analyzes information security incidents and vulnerabilities in aviation and airports, provides recommendations for improving their performance from the perspective of information security.
