and Internal Structure in a Thermal Field With
Automated Thermal Non-Destructive Testing |

This article is devoted to the software determination of the physical dimensions of metal products of complex shape and
internal structure in the thermal fi eld with automated thermal non-destructive testing, for further identifi cation of defective
zones, which assess the suitability of products for operation and prediction of residual life. The developed automated
installation of thermal non-destructive testing of metal products of complex shape and internal structure in order to identify
small-sized defects in terms of cooling rates in defect-free and defective zones, according to which the suitability of products
for operation and the prediction of residual life are further evaluated, should provide automated control of the full cycle,
processing and storage of results with automatic detection of defects.
The article presents an algorithm for determining the physical dimensions of the diagnosed metal products of complex
shape and internal structure in a thermal fi eld, implemented in the software module, and window forms of the software module
in the Visual Basic (VB) environment, with the results of accurate determination of the physical dimensions of the controlled
product on the example of a metal gear industrial gearbox.
