Multi-Channel Polarization Measurements
for Aquatic Pollution Evaluation |
Mkrtchyan F.A., Soldatov V.Yu.
In this work, a multichannel spectroellipsometric and spectrophotometric system has been developed, which differs from
existing foreign anological devices by using a new method of ellipsometric measurements, an original element base of polarization optics, and a complex mathematical approach to assessing the quality of a water body subjected to anthropogenic
impact. The system has the functions of learning to recognize and classify water pollutants.
The system makes it possible to implement forecasting and decision-making functions for detecting pollutants in water,
detecting fi lms of oil products and determining their parameters; thickness, location of the source of pollution, time of formation. The results of measurements of the content of chemical elements in water are given, indicating the characteristics of the
accuracy of their identifi cation. Algorithms for recognition of spectral patterns of aqueous solutions are considered.
Keywords: aquatic environment, assessment, polarization measurements, pollution, multichannel spectroellipsometer,
