Modular Switching Device for Asynchronous
Electric Drives for Various Technological Purposes |

A universal modular switching device is considered, which can be used in the structural part of the control elements of
the control system of asynchronous electric drives for various technological purposes. The principle of using a modular
switching device is that when the duty cycle of the transistor switch control signal changes, the effective value of the voltage
supplied to the groups of stator windings of asynchronous motors is regulated. An important advantage of using a modular
switching device in various control circuits is that the only transistor switch for all three phases can set the required voltage
shape, receiving the desired shape of the control signal from the input of the pulse-width modulation device. The technical
and economic effect of using a modular switching device as part of control systems for asynchronous electric drives for various technological purposes is expressed in the use of a smaller number of power semiconductor elements, as well as in the
formation of a continuous, almost sinusoidal shape of the current curve, as a result of high-frequency modulation conversion
of the voltage shape.
