Application of Automatic Programming Technology
in the CODESYS Environment to Implement
a Process Control System |

The implementation of a discrete control system for a coolant preparation system using the automatic programming
paradigm is considered. A state graph of a discrete control system is implemented in the form of a fi nite state machine.
The technological process of preparing coolant consists of four stages: initial state, pouring liquid, mixing the liquid and
draining the liquid. For each stage, the conditions for transition to the next stage are indicated. An implementation of the
control system program code in the ST and SFC languages is presented. Conclusions are drawn about the effectiveness of this
approach for implementing a control system for technological processes and production.
