A method for Automatically Controlling the Effi ciency
of the Absorption Process |

A method for automatic control of the effi ciency of the gas-liquid absorption process and a device for its implementation are proposed.
The operation of the device is based on an algorithm for determining the current value of the degree of saturation of the absorbent, as the
most informative and generalized criterion for adaptive control of the absorption process, which characterizes the effi ciency of the entire
technological process. An algorithm is proposed for determining the linearized current value of the degree of saturation of the absorbent,
which is based on the method of linearization by decomposition into a Taylor series. The algorithm is the basis for calculating the settings
of the designed secondary device for visualizing the degree of saturation of the absorbent according to the criterion of achieving maximum accuracy of readings. An algorithm for identifying the position of the working point based on the control criteria is proposed. The
algorithm is designed to determine the current value of the drift velocity of the non-linearized degree of saturation of the absorbent using
one cyclogram of an industrial chromatograph. An algorithm is proposed for quantifying the identifi cation error and visualizing the position of the working point. The algorithm for determining the current value of the identifi cation error is based on a direct comparison of
the reference and linearized values of the derivative of the degree of saturation on the consumption of lean absorbent. It is shown that the
main parameters for quantifying the error in identifying the degree of saturation of the absorbent are the zero drift of the intercorrelation
function, linearized and non-linearized current values of the degree of saturation, estimation of the dispersion of the consumption of lean
absorbent over a variety of implementations, the current fl uctuation of the linearized value of the degree of saturation of the absorbent, the
current fl uctuation of the consumption of lean absorbent and the time of the cyclogram of an industrial chromatograph. The operability of
algorithms for the method of automatic control of the effi ciency of the absorption process is proved by the method of simulation modeling
in conditions closest to real ones.
