Automated Control System for the Hydrological
Regime of Pond Farming |

The work examines the task of automating the provision of optimal hydrological conditions for pond farms in order to
reduce energy costs when growing fi sh. The hydrological regime means fi lling the pond and maintaining a certain water level
using a pumping station. To ensure this mode, signifi cant energy costs are required, which can amount to up to 50% of the cost
of growing fi sh. One of the options for reducing energy costs is to automate the control system for the hydrological regime of a
pond farm. The system consists of six modules: a module for monitoring hydrochemical parameters of water; weather station;
model for predicting water loss due to evaporation; pumping equipment control module; pumping station; module for integration into a unifi ed pond management system. It is proposed, based on monitoring the hydrochemical parameters of water and
weather observation data using a weather station, to predict the loss of water evaporation from the surface of the pond. Based
on modeling of forecasting water losses, it is proposed to control the operation of the pumping station, which will ensure a
reduction in electricity consumption. This management system must be integrated into the overall pond management system.
It is assumed that the proposed automated system for controlling the hydrological regime of a pond farm can not only reduce
the cost of operating a pumping station, but also improve the overall effi ciency of water resource management in a pond farm.
