Analysis of Modern SCADA Systems
and Their Application in Industry |

The article analyzes modern dispatch control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, examines their functionality,
achievements and expanding industrial application possibilities. The article discusses interconnected components such as
fi eld devices, PLCs, communication networks, central servers and HMI. The importance of advanced communication protocols and expanding the capabilities of SCADA systems through integration with the principles of the industrial Internet of
Things, cloud computing and artifi cial intelligence and machine learning algorithms is emphasized. The article examines
the growing range of applications of modern SCADA systems, demonstrates their role in the production and distribution of
electricity, processing plants, water treatment plants, waste treatment plants and building automation systems. Paying special
attention to how SCADA systems achieve exceptional effi ciency, reliability and safety, the article highlights their importance
for the development of modern industrial automation.
