Method of Protecting Power Supply Circuits
in Explosive Atmospheres |

The article presents methods for compensating electrical circuits both inside the source and connected to it loads of the intrinsically safe
barrier of the power source, designed for operation in environments hazardous in terms of gas and dust. The relevance of the topic is determined by the need for power supply to high-risk areas with a maximum reduction in the risk of ignition of the atmosphere with fl ammable
gases or dust particles. As an alternative to individual modules providing intrinsic safety, the authors propose to modify the quasi-resonant
converter of the output voltage for operation in the mode of suppression of output voltage pulsations and spark energy.
