Industrial Automatic Control Systems and Controllers Annotation << Back A unique radiological effluent treatment system for Kolskaya A-plant Firsov K.A., Timofeev V.N., Antufiev V.V., Petrov R.V. URAN hard-/software system designed and implemented at Kolskaya A-plant and open for further improvement and development is discussed. Its application experience shows that both the hardware and the software ensure the reliability and safety level required for liquid radiological waste handling. The system is easy-to-use owning to extensive documentation, strict hardware maintenance procedures, adjustable user interface and integrated quality control elements. The algorithms developed can be adjusted to the features of other tasks by introducing additional functional blocks of control channels and modifying interlock logic algorithms.
