Two optimization problems of implementing adaptive control of the focal length of the projectile optics are formulated and solved: (a) control of the focal length, depending on the distance to the object; (b) control of the focal length, depending on the width of the detector on the far sector of the deviation detection disk. It is determined that in the fi rst case, a direct relationship between the function and the argument of the adaptive equation is required, and in the second case, an inverse relationship.
