Issues of Aircraft Detection in the Thermal Infrared
Range under Changing Meteorological Conditions |
Alieva G.V.
The article is devoted to optimization of aircraft detection in the thermal infrared range under changing meteorological conditions.
It is shown that reducing the probability of "false alarm" in aircraft detection requires increasing the signal-to-noise ratio in the system,
which is equivalent to reducing the detection distance. The presence of a positive correlation between atmospheric transmittance and the
signal-to-noise ratio leads to a decrease in the average detection distance when imposing an integral constraint on the specified functional
relationship.
Keywords: thermal infrared range, optimization, aircraft, detection distance, signal-to-noise ratio.
