The article considers modern approaches to automation of metallurgical production aimed at increasing productivity, improving product quality and minimizing costs. The main methodologies and technologies being implemented are described, such as the implementation of industrial control systems, the use of big data and artificial intelligence technologies. An analysis of their application in practice is carried out, and the advantages and disadvantages of using such systems are considered.
