The Process of Regenerative Thermal Oxidation
of Harmful Emissions Into the Atmosphere |

The overview article is dedicated to the study of the process of regenerative thermal oxidation (RTO) of harmful emissions into the
atmosphere. It examines the basic principles and mechanisms of this industrial gas purification method, its advantages compared to
traditional technologies, as well as the factors influencing the effectiveness of its application. The features of the design of RTO units are
analyzed. Special attention is given to the possibility of recovering thermal energy released during the oxidation process, which enhances
the economic feasibility and environmental safety of the technology. Directions for further improvement of the RTO process are defined to
minimize the harmful impact of industrial enterprises on the environment.
