An upgraded approach for assessing the criticality of business processes of aircraft manufacturing enterprises for primary procedures for categorizing critical information infrastructure facilities is described, which provides the executing commission with additional tools for collecting and analyzing estimates of significance indicators. The approach being developed is to combine qualitative indicators provided by the experts of the categorization commission with quantitative criteria that are calculated according to a formalized procedure. The criticality assessment consists of a qualitative analysis and quantitative assessment of the key characteristics of a business process, formalizing the estimates into calculated indicators and calculating the fi nal values of the criticality of the business process. As part of the assessment of the criticality of a business process, estimates are calculated for all key characteristics of the process under study, since they can fully infl uence the development of events in the event of a computer incident, increasing or decreasing the level of subsequent negative consequences. These characteristics include the following indicators: the degree of dependence of the execution of a business process on the information infrastructure, the impact of the procedure on possible negative consequences that may arise in the event of a computer incident, and the degree to which the procedure affects the functioning of other critical procedures (subprocesses/ business processes).
