Industrial Automatic Control Systems and Controllers Annotation << Back Automation of blast furnaces at Novo-Lipetsk Metallurgical Works Schneider Electric A process control system for the blast furnace № 6 of Novolipetsk Metallurgical Works – one of the largest blast furnaces in Russia – is considered. The control system implementation is the biggest project in the application practice of Schneider Electric products in the ferrous metallurgy of FSU countries. The blast furnace # 6 complex includes the objects located up to 1500 m away from the furnace; its control system needs to input and process several thousand signals and includes dozens of control loops and remote controls.
