In article the urgency of a considered problem on optimization of regulation of steam of thermal power plant is shown. The description of research object – thermal power plant with cross-section communications is presented. Technological process of transformation of energy on thermal power plant, process of distribution of steam between thermal power station units is described. Existing methods of optimization of work of the equipment and to optimum distribution of steam between turbine units are considered. It is established that the considered methods of steam distribution have the scopes, advantages and restrictions.
