The maximum effi ciency during gas transfer by main pipelines is achieved due to application of drive-controlled electrically driven gas pumping units (EGPU). Management of such units requires reliable automated monitoring system (AMS) with rapid response. ELNA Commissioning Company has been developing and introducing AMS for gas pumping units for 10 years. ELPK-04 industrial controller – the last company development - uses high-speed USB interface (specifi cation 2.0) for data exchange with computer-process interfaces. High data exchange rate (time of data transfer from the object to the controller equals to 2 ms) and possibility of reliability enhancement due to backup introduction (by means of advance USB client technology) makes ELPK-04 controller an optimal basis for creation of state-of-the-art automated monitoring systems for electrically driven gas pumping units.
