Automation of the Frequency Control System Based on PLC and SCADA |

The article deals with the architecture of the asynchronous drive frequency control system. The frequency control system is designed to demonstrate and study the operation of a 3-phase asynchronous motor in the frequency control mode and can be used to acquire and consolidate practical skills in controlling an asynchronous motor using an automation system based on a Siemens 1500 PLC, as well as to conduct scientifi c research. The demonstration and research stand is based on a device for obtaining a 3-phase voltage of variable frequency (Omron MX2 frequency converter). The unit also contains a programmable logic controller S7-1500, monitoring and control tools, an asynchronous motor, the load on which can be changed manually using a simple friction brake or an electromechanical load (adjustable DC motor). The control of the electromechanical load is carried out via the armature circuit of the DC motor by pulse-width modulation. The demonstration and research stand allows both direct control and control from a computer in four quadrants by means of a SCADA system developed in the WinCC OA environment. The software for binding the programmable logic controller is implemented in the Tia Portal environment.
