On optimality criterion selection in numerical computation of automated control systems |

The results of comparative analysis of various optimality cri-teria used in controller settings computation are presented. Along with integral criteria, used for calculating step test re-sponse, a criterion minimizing the variance of control variable’s deviation under random disturbances is examined. A case study of a PI control loop is examined. Optimal settings for various optimality criteria are computed numerically based on a simula-tion model per a specified stability margin using Optim-MGA evolutionary algorithm[1, 2] Keywords: evolutionary optimization algorithm, optimality criterion, stability margin, integral criteria, optimal settings, minimum variance criterion, correlation function, transient, frequency response, response surface, simulation.
